Twas Lucy Before Christmas!

Twas weeks before Christmas and all through the house a creature was stirring!

And what to my wondering ears did hear but four pouncing paws and Christmas ornaments
jingling and jangling in fear.


I ran from the kitchen to see what was the matter...


and there she was all playful and happy,
but I knew I would have nothing to dread...
because soon ...


...visions of mice would dance in her head!

Double the Fun!

Today was not only Thanksgiving...but also Kathy's birthday celebration.
Everybody gathered at my house to eat and eat some more!

Best Friend's Best Friend!

It is said that dog is man's best friend. Well this morning man's best friend was enjoying a best friend of his own!


It was truly a warming moment!

A Reason for Cake!

It was a special Sunday today! We celebrated David's birthday.


I wonder what he wished????
My wish is for many more!!!


And of course a birthday post wouldn't be complete without a birthday cake close up for Aunt Shirley :-) (It's called Punch Bowl cake...it is from the Paula Dean cookbook. It was yummy:-)

Trick or Treat!

Tonight we had a range of trick or treaters...


We started with the brand new novice trick or treater. It was his first night out.
What a cute little punkin' he is!


And we ended with a veteran treater and an apprentice treater!

Wow I didn't realize the weight gaining season actually starts now!!!
I'm beginning to think it never actually ends. Ugh!!
I already have eaten 4 candy bars. Darn that leftover candy!

On a bright note...Hope your night was full of treats and not tricks!!!

Guy Torture!

What do you think guys would say to be the most torturous event they could ever have to endure?????

a chick flick double feature night you would be correct..ding, ding, ding,ding, ding!

John opted out of The Patriot on blue ray so this is what we got!
They both were actually pretty funny.
I just hope this doesn't mean we have to endure a male testosterone night anytime soon!
